The Busy Working Mother
Every mother knows this scenario:- You look at the diary and realise that in a couple of days time you are supposed to be taking the children to their clubs (with only 15 minutes between the times), you promised your boss that you would work late that night, your mother-in-law has guilt tripped you into having her round for dinner as ‘she wouldn’t be around forever’, the washing machine you stayed in for all day for last week that didn’t come is now due to arrive after you shouted that ‘you didn’t care what time it came – as long as it came!’ and your partner will have finished the particularly hard project at work that day and you just know he will arrive home bouncing and happy and wanting to celebrate. Having left your wonder-woman costume at the cleaners you sit and stare at the diary wondering how you are ever going to manage.

Your angel would meet you just before you leave to take the children to their clubs. Once gone, your angel prepares a menu to your specifications. Whilst the meal cooks they clean the kitchen until it sparkles enough to please any mother-in-law. They lay the kitchen table for three with a single balloon floating over a bottle of red wine where your partner will sit. They then nip into your lounge, and pop up a play-tent. Inside, your angel lays out a pre-prepared picnic for your ravenous explorers when they come home – they can join the adults for the ice cream in the freezer later, after your partner, yourself and your mother-in-law have had a chance to talk and catch up on the day’s news. Your angel leaves the house before you and your family arrive home. You then take all the credit (unless of course, you book your angel to come back and do the dishes later – in which case, we would advise you to make sure your mother-in-law has gone home first!).
